Whistler Sport Legacies welcomes the film industry to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games venues. With extraordinary natural beauty and state-of-the-art sporting and event facilities, the venues are Whistler’s newest and most unique locations for shooting movies, television commercials, still photos, and ad campaigns. From small corporate productions to major feature films, we have dramatic scenery to create impactful scenes.
All facilities offer an impressive scope and diversity of filming locations. Venues are “film friendly” and can accommodate most sets and crew sizes. Experienced staff will work in close collaboration with scouts and production crews to ensure filming time is optimized. Spacious and secure parking for crews, equipment trucks, and production vehicles is also available for filming taking place in other areas in Whistler. In addition, our venues provide ideal locations for movie wrap parties, product launches, and special events.

Whistler Sliding Centre
A Sliding Track Nestled in the Mountains
The Whistler Sliding Centre is in the beautiful Fitzsimmons Valley on the southeast slope of Blackcomb Mountain, just minutes from Whistler Village. It is an active venue for bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge sports. Surrounded by stunning views of mountains and Whistler Village, the venue boasts excellent filming spaces while taking in the excitement of the 1,450-metre track and winding mountain access road.
Whistler Olympic Park
Secluded Mountain Playground
Whistler Olympic Park is located in the Callaghan Valley about 20 kilometres south of Whistler Village. It is an active centre for cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowshoeing, ski jumping, and more. Surrounded by spectacular scenery and wilderness, the venue features breathtaking valley and mountain range views. The venue features sport stadiums, and vast and unique indoor and outdoor spaces in a true mountain setting.
Whistler Athletes' Centre
A Mountain Lodge
The Whistler Athletes’ Centre is a year-round accommodation and training facility for athletes and groups. Located in the scenic Cheakamus Valley, the facility offers two unique options for filming. First, The Lodge, which includes 80 rooms, a commercial kitchen, dining area and common rooms. Second, our High-performance Training Centre with state of the art gym equipment offers another setting for filming. The stunning facility is bordered a river and forested lands.
